With these programs, the cost of implementing cover crops can be fully or significantly offset, allowing you to enhance your farm's productivity and sustainability without financial strain.

VACS Payment: $70 an acre

Example Cover Crop: 

  • 16lbs of seed an acre
  • 6lbs an acre of Radish (@ $1.24 per lb)
  • 10lbs an acre of Annual Ryegrass (@ $1.40 per lb)
  • Total Seed Cost: $21.44 per Acre
  • Application: $24 per Arce


Remaining to Farmer: $24.56 an acre
